Vesterheim Museum

The Outdoor Division of the Vesterheim Museum embraces existing historic structures and transforms the landscape into one that enhances and expands the narrative of the early settlement experience. The Outdoor Division implements the first phase of the recently completed Vesterheim Museum Master Plan and becomes a space where international visitors and local residents alike can explore early settlement life, interact with native vegetation of the Decorah prairie, enjoy a festival on the great lawn, or catch a show in the amphitheater.
