Ridgedale Commons

Ridgedale Commons transforms a portion of the Ridgedale Mall parking lot into a community gathering space with lush gardens, creative play areas, an open lawn and a flexible plaza. The park is part of a larger long-term vision to transform the Ridgedale area into a mixed-use community with higher-density housing and bike and pedestrian-friendly design.

The park includes a stage, hammocks, a winter skating rink, warming house and public art that doubles as children’s play equipment. The plaza is designed to host markets and large events, while more intimate spaces provide smaller gathering opportunities.

The outcome is a signature park that offers a unique community gathering space that helps create an identity for the Ridgedale area, is welcoming and inclusive, and integrates the community’s input.
