Water Works Historic

Minneapolis, MN

Damon Farber, in collaboration with Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, and the Minneapolis Parks Foundation unveiled the latest concepts for Water Works earlier this week at two community meetings. Attendance was high for all events which included a presentation at Mill City Museum, a walking tour of the site, and open house held at Crown Roller Mill. It is exciting to have the community take such a strong interest in shaping Minneapolis’ next signature park. Throughout concept development our team has strived to create a place to experience the rich past and cultural layering of the historically significant Water Works site. The design reflects a welcoming and comfortable park that will serve our diverse Minneapolis community today and into the future. It will be a place to pause, gather, learn, and reinforce the connection between our city and the Mississippi River.
