Boston Scientific Master Plan

There are three distinct buildings that form the Boston Scientific campus. Damon Farber Associates has been involved in the development of the most recent two. The objective of the landscape design for the Weaver Lake Campus was to create a plan reflecting the mission and image of the Boston Scientific Corporation. The design provides continuity between the second building with the existing campus through the comprehensive planting schedule and use of similar plant materials to incorporate concepts such as the allee of conifers leading pedestrians through the parking fields to the front door and the strong, linear mass of tree planting within the entry median. The landscape has matured to reflect the Native American, historical habitat in which the site is located. It requires minimal maintenance because of the use of materials indigenous to the site that are hardy to the qualities and characteristics of the regional landscape.
