Located in the heart of the historic St. Paul campus, the new Anderson Student Center has become UST’s campus “living room”. Damon Farber Associates designed Monahan Plaza and the renovation of the historic quadrangle. Programmed to facilitate numerous campus events and host pre-game tail-gating for fall football games, the plaza is bustling with activity throughout the academic calendar. Designed in conjunction with the Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex the two projects have a strong relationship to one other, the historic quadrangle and the existing football stadium. An intensive green roof plaza is located over an underground parking structure. Student circulation, quad reconfiguration, outdoor event spaces, and low maintenance landscaping were all carefully planned resulting in a project that exceeded all expectations.
